A gift to your family, sparing them hard decisions at an emotional time.
It is not always possible to pay respects in person, so we hope that this small token will help.
Offer a gift of comfort and beauty to a family suffering from loss.
|Rachel E. Delashmutt, Funeral Director & Embalmer|
Rachel perceived, at a young age, that her heart was dedicated to helping others in a time of need. At the age of 17, she began working as an attendant for a local funeral home. Helping others to cope with the emotional upheaval after a major loss is what Rachel believes to be the most important part of her career.
Rachel graduated in 2004 from Vero Beach High School, where she played oboe in the school's Symphonic and Marching Band. She also played with VBHS band at Carnegie Hall in 2003. She studied mortuary science at St. Petersburg College before earning her Associate in Science degree at Florida State College at Jacksonville in 2007. She served her funeral director internship in Vero Beach before becoming licensed by the State of Florida in 2009.
Rachel joined the Seawinds family in April 2013 with more than 10 years of professional experience. She continues her dedication to serving families with comfort, compassion and kindness.
Rachel and husband Kevin, an Indian River County firefighter, are the proud pet parents of two rescue dogs, Remi and Lola. Rachel has lived in Vero Beach since 1989. Her parents, Jack and Barbara Jordan, her sister, Jennifer Osteen, and her grandmother, Ruth Rioux, also all reside in Vero Beach.
