Condolences

Condolence From: Jared
Condolence: FOR DAD
By Jared Horton

Every time you said goodbye
I waited until you left to cry
Not because you made me mad
Or if we had a fight
Just because I missed my dad
Each time you took that flight

So close but yet so far away
This was the life I knew
Not quite knowing what to say
Or exactly what I should do

You always made things seem so easy
With dignity and grace
Did everything in your power to please me
And even more just incase

It's difficult for me to face
All the tears and feeling so sad
No one could ever replace
The man I've always known as Dad

This sudden loss is hard to take
Feels like I'm less than zero
Despite my grief, make no mistake
You'll always be my hero

Of all the lessons a young man learned
The things I hold so dear
You taught me first, respect is earned
Approach this life without fear

I regret the things we could have shared
Wish I had another chance
I hope I showed you how much I cared
In spite of circumstance

In life what people struggle for
I feel I've already won
The greatest gift, the big reward
The honor of being your son

Everything I've ever done
What I have yet to achieve
I look to you, the only one
And suddenly I believe

I place no man above you
Though it was tough at times to show
Dad I truly love you
More than you could ever know

Although our time together
Has abruptly come to an end
Memories last forever
My father, my best friend

Condolence: "Our Granddad"
By Nathan

He always cared for his family the most. He liked to have fun with his family. He was always very nice. He always did what was right. He gave people a chance. He took care of his children and grandchildren. May he always be in our hearts.

Condolence: i only had the privilege to speak with David a handful of times he seemed to be a man of few words But the one thing I did learn about him was his love for his family his actions spoke volumes of the way he felt .I dont believe it was possible for a man to show his love for his family and my daughter more .David you will be missed dearly , And to his family I am truly sorry for your loss I hope you find comfort in knowing I am sure he is watching over you all as he did in life

Condolence: Uncle David was my closest Uncle growing up in Florida. I have so many great memories about him, his outgoing nature, his laugh and sense of "Horton humor" we all seem to have a little bit of. Of course there were some harder times, but ultimately the bad and good make us who we are. We lost contact as we moved on and grew up building our own lives, but he never failed to help me whenever I needed it. He was there for us for Grandad and my dad and never thought twice about it. He was someone you wanted in your corner when push comes to shove or if you just need to let off some steam he was there to listen. The last time we saw each other, I could tell he was a changed man. Making him a Grandad made him happier than I ever had seen him before. He had a special connection to his grand kids and even though he was a family man already, that just completed him. We spent hours going over his photos and he really enjoyed photography you could tell. I feel the sorrow that the future memories and pictures will not include him, but I know his presence will always be with us and he will never be forgotten. I'm sure if Uncle David could be with us for one more day, he would put on the best BBQ family dinner and reminisce about all the funny and embarrassing stories about each of us while holding and loving his grand kids... Until we all can be reunited again, whenever and wherever that may be, we will miss you and love you always in our hearts. Love you Uncle David
